Today is Isaiah’s birthday. He requested “hamburger cupcakes”. We got the idea from Pinterest…of course!

These were very rich! They were cute, too, but my frosting was apparently just a little too warm…it ran all over the place.

It was quite difficult to get much school done today. It was GORGEOUS outside! And yes, we did manage to finish school…we even did some of it outside.

Do you see that up there in the corner of the picture? It was so nice that I decided to pull out the clothes “line”. This baby was stored away for the winter months, but the sunshine and perfect breeze convinced to me get it back out. Ok…the truth is my electric bill was also a big motivator!
The boys have been having fun playing with some walkie-talkies that Grandad got out for them. Here is Daniel with his:

And the big news of the day? Isaiah finally conquered the 2-wheeled bike!!! He was super excited and has been doing a great job riding all around in the yard. I have to give him credit…it is difficult to ride in grass. Ours is tall in some places and the ground is VERY uneven.

I love weather like today. It was about 70 degrees with a great breeze. It motivates me to get lots of things done. The boys and I took the Gator and drove back to one of the fields to pick up sweet gum balls. We have TONS of them and have some crafty ideas for them. There are still plenty to pick up, but our backs couldn’t handle much more today. We headed home for lunch-which of course was enjoyed outside!
While the boys were working on some schoolwork outside I went to work washing to outsides of my windows. Now I can actually see out the big window in my living room. At least until a poor bird crashes into it again.
It sounds like many of my friends up north were dealing with some not-s0-nice weather today, I’m sorry to all of you, but it sure was wonderful to have such a glorious day. It does a lot to lift a person’s spirits.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been four years! Here you are with your big brothers celebrating your birth.
And here you are with your big brothers (and a friend) celebrating your 4th birthday.

We enjoyed your favorite meal…homemade pizza. And this year you requested Minion cupcakes from “Despicable Me”

You are such a fun little man. You love to play with your big brothers and can keep us all laughing. You have always had such expressive eyes and still do. We love you little man and we are so happy that you are a part of our family! And no matter what you say…you’ll always be my baby!

I have been working on a new project. I know, I don’t need anything else to work on, but hey, it’s fun. As an added bonus I have already sold several.
Here are a few of the recent necklaces that I’ve made. Please excuse the picutres-I need to work on a light box, but haven’t had time to do that yet. The first 3 are made from 1100 aluminum. This is a food-grade aluminum. It is very light-weight and durable. I would love to do these in Sterling Silver, but right now the price of silver is pretty high. I am happy to be able to offer a beautiful piece for a fraction of the price.

This piece was made for my mom who is a Thirty One consultant.

This one is in Sterling Silver:

Here are a couple of stamped rings. Again, these are created using aluminum. They are extremely light weight and I absolutely love wearing mine!

The rings are open in the back, which I wasn’t sure I would like at first, however, after wearing them for several weeks, I really do like that. Sometimes a wider ring is not very comfortable to wear, but the open back eliminates some of the “pinching that happens.
Now…for my little plug…I am hoping to sell some more of these in order to help pay for our Christmas. Christmas you say? Wouldn’t your mom, grandma, sister, aunt, cousin and best friend love one of these? If you are interested, please Email Me

I have been trying to take more pictures to use for blog posts (and memories of course). However, by the time I sit down in the evenings I’m so sleepy that I don’t get around to posting.
We’ve had a FULL week here.
One day, Connie picked green beans. She ended up with about half a five-gallon bucket. She also picked a few red beets. We canned 5 quarts of green beans and 3 half pints of pickled beets. She shredded zucchini to freeze (can’t remember how much we ended up with…I think about 3 or 4 pints). And I made pesto to freeze. I think that totalled about 2 pints. I also hung some parsley and dill to dry.
I have done lots of laundry and hung that outside. It was so hot that I was sweating just walking to the line…lol! I have mixed up bread, baked bread, made cookies, went to a meeting for work, made pasta, cleaned, rearranged furniture, finally got some stuff hung on our bare walls, plus all the other daily things that happen here each day.
Wednesday night I finally got the boys’ school stuff ordered. Isaiah is super excited about it, and Daniel is NOT!
Well, there it is…the brief little update until I finally get around to getting some pics ready to post.
I hope everyone is surviving the heat.

Jim and Dave were able to get some hay made. We had so much rain early in the season that they had to wait for what seemed like forever to get into the fields and then they had some trouble with one of the tractors. They were able to get a fair amount made, but there are several fields still waiting to be cut and rolled and the first ones will soon be ready to cut again. Jim has had the tractor all torn apart and trying to get it running again.
Here’s Dave headed out with one of his helpers to rake some hay.

Grandad had a helper one day too. Unfortunately, they didn’t make it very far and had to turn around and come back. I think this was when the tractor began having issues.

Here are just a few of the rolls of hay that were made. I’m not sure what the final count was, but probably about 50-60 in that “batch”.

Hopefully, they can get that tractor back up and running so they can get the rest mowed and rolled.
